The two virgin martyrs flank a picture of the Giralda, the iconic bell tower of Seville. They are the city's patron saints. At the foot of the woman on the left is a pottery jar, the attribute of these saints. As martyrs they hold palm branches and are being crowned with laurel by two angels.
In the arch above, St. Anthony of Padua receives a vision of the Christ Child while kneeling at an altar or table on which are two of his other attributes: a book and a lily stalk. Anthony shares the same July 19 feast day with Justa and Rufina.
Two sources on the internet attribute this work to a "Juan Bautista de León." I have found no such name in sources listing Spanish artists of the 17th century, but perhaps his absence is due to his working in glass rather than painting or sculpture.
